He had the blues, Johnny Not much to do, Johnny But sit around and watch the needle They found an old antenna Hooked up the tunes, you betta bet They kept it loose they kept it real When theres nothing left on earth And weve all gone underground Well i bet youll tune in To the only show in town No one was safe from it The human race was runnin out They wouldnt make it very far One day the calls stopped comin They left the needle runnin They rambled on into the dark When theres nothing left on earth And weve all gone underground Well i bet youll tune in To the only show in town The starman said ‘youre doing a hell of a job’ You boys keep me going, please dont let the music stop When theres nothing left on earth And we've all gone underground Well i bet youll tune in To the only show in town

Well they called it the countdown Then the cable cuts out Sure looks like a meltdown What are we fighting about Gonna have a, New Mexico Sunrise in the middle of the night Now we’ve got 60 years of winter if we make it to daylight Daddy bought you tickets on the Lazarus Express Its funny how your money makes you better than the rest Well you said that you loved me That you’d stay by my side But when they told you the way out Baby you told me goodbye Gonna have a, New Mexico Sunrise in the middle of the night Now we’ve got 60 years of winter and the kids are not alright Daddy bought you tickets on the Lazarus Express Its funny how your money makes you better than the rest Did you get what you paid for When the curtain came down Are you gonna be lonely Livin in this ghost town Gonna have a, New Mexico Sunrise in the middle of the night Now we’ve got 60 years of winter if we make it to daylight Daddy bought you tickets on the Lazarus Express Its funny how your money makes you better than the rest Bridge Gonna have a, New Mexico Sunrise in the middle of the night Now we’ve got 60 years of winter and the kids are not alright Daddy bought you tickets on the Lazarus Express Its funny how your money makes you better than the rest

about

We recorded, mixed, and mastered the album at Modern Fuzz Studios in Pomona, CA with the help of Chris Jimenez. This album is the result of 3 and a half years of the Core Four (Sarah, Austin, Dalton, and Daniel) playing and writing music together. In January, we were lucky enough to find a ringer on the drums in Jeremy Adams, and we knew that it was time to put all our hard work into history. The album covers almost every era of the band's songwriting development, starting (chronologically) with the nostalgic Oaktown Shakedown, our first original song, and ending with the post-apocalyptic vignettes told in Nautilus, Only Show in Town, and Meltdown. The songs take influence from blues, funk, jam bands, and folk traditions, but are all rooted in our deep desire to Rock n Roll.
